I am the type of person that once I have something in mind, I think I should be able to find it without much hassle. How difficult is it to find a black or brown leather (or pleather) sectional sofa with a sofa bed? Um, it's difficult! We made it to 5 stores (yes, 5) within an hour (three of them were in the same strip mall and the other two were across the street). We found something that we liked but weren't 100% sold on. Some of us also got distracted by the cool media room furniture that reclined with a touch of a button (and had cool light up cup holders!).
Our little consumer pipes up from the back seat as we are getting ready to head home and says "Hey Mommy, what about Watson's?" and then she starts to sing their little jingle. I'm telling you, companies don't market to adults. They market to kids who remember commercials and all the little details. Sure enough, Watson's was right down the road and they were having a sale on...sectionals!
While someone was more interested in looking at the pools and spas (and would have climbed in if we had her bathing suit), we did manage to find something that we all REALLY liked. And while it doesn't have a sleeper sofa, it was within our budget, has TWO recliners (just in time for football season), multiple storage areas, and fit in our space! Oh, and it has cup holders too...they just don't light up. After trying it out (multiple times), we decided it was a good fit for us (it even has a spot for Butter to sit...talk about perfect!). It should be delivered next Tuesday! Woot Woot!
We thought about putting our couches on Facebook saying "Free to a good home" but since two of the couch cushions are LITERALLY held together with duct tape, they will be heading to Mt. Rumpke next week. We've had the couches since we moved in the house (7 years) and they've been through 3 dogs and a toddler so they've lived a good life.
Now we just have to remember to keep the dogs' nails clipped...
